For the past two decades, OSI Group McDonalds has demonstrated rapid growth. David McDonald has been playing a significant role in these achievements. For over 30 years that he has served at OSI Group, he has risen from his first job where he served as project manager to his current role of OSI Group’s president as well as the chief operating officer.

OSI Group is among the market leader in the food industry. It started operating as a butchery in the 20th century Chicago.

David McDonald was brought up in northeast Iowa, and he managed to obtain his degree from Iowa State University. In his degree, he studied animal science. Under the leadership of OSI Group McDonalds, OSI Group is operating 65 facilities in 17 countries around the world, and it has employed more than 20,000 employees.

In recent years, McDonald has led the company in its current expansion especially in China. He played a significant role when the company was acquiring Baho Foods as well as Flagship Europe. McDonald is well experienced in food production logistics for working with governmental agencies, retailers as well as local suppliers across several an international border.

Being brought up in Iowa farm, his childhood would not seem to a favorable background for rising a leader like him. But he took advantage of the time he spent at the food production distribution into shaping his current excellent managerial style.

It was during the beginning of the international growth of OSI Group when David McDonald was employed by the company as an intern to Sheldon Lavin. McDonald grew with OSI Group developing in-depth knowledge in both technical matters when it comes to working with partners and adapting to the OSI culture. He was able to understand the company culture was not only to grow but also to establish a strong foundation that has a stable workforce.

OSI Group McDonalds under the excellent leadership of McDonald continues to move out of its traditional meat market expanding to other product lines. In the year 2012, there was a new facility opened in Geneva, specifically for frozen entrée item.
